Phoenix designs costumes the way a writer builds character — from the inside out. Before a single garment is chosen or built, the work starts with narrative: who is this person, what do they want, what have they survived, and how does that live in the clothes they wear? It's this foundation — understanding story and character first — that shapes every collaboration with directors to build a coherent style story from script to screen.

Trained in fashion design in San Francisco and working in costume design for film and production since 2021, Phoenix brings both technical fluency and narrative instinct to set — someone who speaks the language of directors and cinematographers as comfortably as the language of fabric and silhouette. Years spent in bridal couture and luxury fashion sharpened an eye for detail, fit, and craftsmanship that most sets never see.

Off set, Phoenix is a mother first — and that role informs everything else, bringing patience, presence, and a grounded eye to the work. She gives back to her creative community through Bay Wardrobe Collective, and makes space for what keeps her centered: family, friends, and a cat who's usually nearby.
